Biofuels Digest, BIO Invite Industry To Participate in Bioenergy Business Outlook Survey

Biofuels Digest and BIO have launched the Summer 2011 Bioenergy Business Outlook Survey. The survey asks biofuel, bioenergy and biomass industry professionals to project hiring, capital investments, capital formation and growth expectations for the second quarter of 2011.

The Spring 2011 Survey found that nearly 40 percent of the industry expected strong to moderate growth, anywhere from 5 to 20 percent, with rising demand for alternative fuels, new technology or intellectual property, and partnering in R&D, production and marketing driving growth.

The Summer 2011 Survey will test some of those earlier projections and perhaps show economic trends for the industry. Respondents to the earlier survey said that they expected their companies to increase revenue by an average of 107 percent and to increase jobs at their individual companies by 25 percent over the next 12 months.
