Dr. Lynn Johnson Langer Discusses Women in Bio, Humanitarian Award

Biotech Now’s Tracy Krughoff talks to Dr. Lynn Johnson Langer, who is Senior Associate Program Chair at the Center for Biotechnology Education www.biotechnology.jhu.edu at Johns Hopkins University. The mission of the Center is to develop partnerships with industry and government organizations to provide community outreach, professional development educational opportunities, workshops, research symposia, and lecture series for academia, industry and the general public. She is also President of Women in Bio, an organization of professionals committed to fostering and encouraging entrepreneurship and career development of women active in the life science industry. In addition, she is a judge for BIO’s Humanitarian Award, which will be given at the 2010 BIO International Convention. Krughoff talks to Dr. Langer about the award and what she is looking for in selecting a recipient; her role in Women in Bio and activities planned for the BIO International Convention.
