Intellectual Property Counsels’ Committee

BIO is uniquely positioned in the intellectual property community because it represents more than 1,100 member companies and research organizations, all of whom rely a great deal on intellectual property protection. The IPCC shapes and develops policies in all facets of intellectual property that affect the biotechnology industry. Policy areas include both domestic and international intellectual property issues, patent term, data exclusivity, trade secret protection, patents, judiciary, intellectual property budgetary issues, the Patent and Trademark Office and an initiative to educate the judiciary.
