Council of State Bioscience Associations (CSBA)
The Council of State Bioscience Associations (CSBA) is a confederation of a number of independent and state-based, non-profit trade organizations, each governed by its own board of directors. The common mission of the members of the CSBA is to promote public understanding of biotechnology, and to advocate for public policies that support the responsible development of the bioscience industry. These groups are recognized by BIO as affiliate organizations in their respective states.

Alliance for a Stronger FDA
The FDA continues to set the global "gold standard" for regulatory science and consumer protection despite being forced to address an ever-increasing array of issues and revolutionary food and medical advancements with tightening resources. The Alliance for a Stronger FDA seeks to ensure a strong and consistent public commitment to resources for the FDA in order for the agency to fulfill its mission of guaranteeing the safety, efficacy and security of the products it regulates.

BIO Ventures for Global Health (BVGH)
BVGH is an independent organization that aims to accelerate the development, distribution and accessibility of biotechnology products to address diseases of the developing world. BIO coordinates with BVGH on various activities designed to help promote BVGH's mission.

BioJudiciary Project (BJP)
The BioJudiciary Project (BJP) is an independent organization that supports constructive dialogue and education on biotechnology-related issues at the intersection of law and public policy. It was co-founded by the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) and Ernst & Young LLP, National Litigation Advisory Services Practice (E&Y), along with generous contributions from the Foundation for Genetic Medicine, Inc., Arnold & Porter, and Ropes & Gray.

Biotechnology Institute (BI)
The Biotechnology Institute is an independent organization that offers educational and research programs for teachers, students, opinion leaders, and general audiences to raise awareness and the understanding of biotechnology. BIO coordinates with the this organization on special promotions and educational initiatives.

Council for Biotechnology Information (CBI)
The Council for Biotechnology Information communicates science-based information about the benefits and safety of agricultural and food biotechnology. CBI is an independent corporation and its members are leading biotechnology companies. BIO works with CBI and coordinates efforts and activities with CBI to communicate how agricultural biotechnology products are helping to feed the world. Excellence Through Stewardship® (ETS)
In 2008, Excellence Through Stewardship (ETS) became a stand-alone non-profit corporation independent of BIO, formalizing the first industry-coordinated undertaking to meet today's product stewardship challenges for agricultural biotechnology. ETS provides a strong quality management program (QMP) for the full life cycle of biotech plants, currently and into the future. ETS promotes the responsible use of agricultural biotechnology, the continued global adoption of plant biotechnology and the enhanced value of biotech-derived plant products in the marketplace. BIO is a member of ETS.

Life Sciences Foundation (LSF)
The Life Sciences Foundation has been established to record, preserve, and make known the story of biotechnology — that complex mixture of brilliant science, daring entrepreneurship, and socio-political realities that has become central to human hope in the new millennium.

Center for Environmental Risk Assessment (CERA) GM Crop Database
The Center for Environmental Risk Assessment (CERA) hosts a GM Crop Database. Formerly hosted by AGBIOS, the database includes not only plants produced using recombinant DNA technologies (e.g., genetically engineered or transgenic plants), but also plants with novel traits that may have been produced using more traditional methods, such as accelerated mutagenesis or plant breeding.

Rx Response
Rx Response is a coalition made up of the trade associations representing the US bio-pharmaceutical supply chain, including BIO.  The mission of Rx Response is to help ensure the continued flow of medicine to patients in a severe natural or manmade disaster.  This mission is achieved through a robust information sharing and problem-solving platform that provides a single point of contact through which government officials can inquire about the status of the pharmaceutical supply chain. This single point of contact also facilitates streamlined interaction between members of the bio-pharmaceutical supply chain.
