Joanne Duncan
Vice President & CFO, Finance & Administration

Joanne M. Duncan is vice president of finance and administration and chief financial officer at the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) where she oversees all aspects of the organization’s financial management, human resources, information technologies and facilities departments. Prior to joining BIO, Joanne served as senior vice president and chief financial officer for the Credit Union National Association (CUNA). She served in similar roles at both America’s Health Insurance Plans and its predecessor organization, the Health Insurance Association of America. Ms. Duncan has more than 20 years of accounting, managerial, and strategic planning experience in the nonprofit sector, is a CPA and holds a master’s degree in taxation from George Mason University. She is also a Certified Association Executive.
