Lila Feisee is the Vice President for International Affairs at BIO and has been with the organization since June of 2000. As BIO’s Vice President for International Affairs, Lila is responsible for international advocacy efforts in the areas of intellectual property protection and biologics regulations. Before joining BIO, Ms. Feisee worked for 10 years at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (PTO), first as an examiner and later in management and policy development. Her primary areas of expertise in both examination and management are protein engineering, therapeutics and assays. Ms. Feisee also worked at the National Institutes of Health in the National Cancer Institute, Laboratory of Genetics where she isolated and characterized viral and human oncogenes. Ms. Feisee received her B.S. degree in Biology from the University of Virginia and her post graduate degree in Genetics from the George Washington University School of Medicine.
