The Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) is hosting BIO VentureForum East which will take place concurrently with the Mid-Atlantic Venture Conference at the Pennsylvania Convention Center November 17-19, 2003. BIO VentureForum East will showcase a rich representation of the nation's most influential and prominent biotechnology and healthcare companies with a significant emphasis on companies from the East region.

BIO VentureForum East is the largest East coast regional investor conference for venture stage biotechnology and healthcare firms. Approximately 70 pre-screened biotechnology and healthcare product, technology, informatics, device and diagnostic companies seeking seed, early- and late-stage funding will present their portfolios and platforms to an international audience of top venture capital firms. The conference will also feature a track of later-stage companies nearing a public offering.

To ensure high quality deal flow, BIO has established a rigorous selection process that will bring biotechnology experts and equity capital leaders together to screen business and science fundamentals. Selected entrepreneurs will also attend regional BIO VentureForum Boot Camps to be intensively coached and provided with the tools needed to refine their presentations and grow their enterprises.
