BIO India Visa Information

A valid/current visa is required for all countries except citizens of Nepal and Bhutan, in order to enter India.

The following are general visa requirements for Business Travel to India:

• Passport must be valid at least 6 more months from the planned arrival date and contain two blank visa pages
• Tickets and Documentation for return travel must be submitted
• A visa application fee applies in most cases
  • Sponsor Letter – Will be provided by Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO). To obtain a letter, please complete this form. *Please note that your passport number and date of birth will be treated as confidential and is solely required for purpose of generating the Letter of Invitation for obtaining a visa for India.

Applying for a Visa:

When applying for a visa, you’ll need to obtain a visa application from the Indian Embassy in your county, or complete an online form.

US Citizens:

• Business Travel Visa applicants are requested to obtain an Indian visa through Travisa Outsourcing, Inc., per the procedures stated on their website at http://indiavisa.travisaoutsourcing.com.
• Register your stay in India with the U.S. State Department
