Instructions for Submitting a Poster Presentation
Call for Posters Closes: June 16, 2008
Instructions on submitting your application follow. You may wish to print these instructions before starting.
As a reminder, all accepted poster presenters must be pre-registered for the conference by Friday, July 11, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. EST in order to present a poster at the 2008 Pacific Rim Summit and be printed in the program.
Also, only one poster per presenter will be allowed so please only submit one application.
STEP 1 - LOGIN
- To begin the application process, you must first login.
- If you are a BIO member, or have spoken at a previous BIO meeting, you will likely already have a BIO username and password. (Please note: you do not need to be a member of BIO to submit an application).
- Username: Your username is the email address you have on file with BIO.
- Password: If you do not know your password, type your username in the username box and click on the "Forgot your password?" link. Your password will be immediately emailed to you. If your email is not in our database, you will need to create a new user profile.
- To Create a New User:
- Click on the "Create New User" box
- Click "OK". (If your computer pop-up blocker is enabled, you may need to press CTRL while clicking "OK")
- Complete the New User profile
- Click "REGISTER"
- Close the new user window
- Login using your new username and password
- While the application is open, you will be able to go in and edit/add/delete as needed. The poster application will close on Monday, June 16, 2008 at 5:00 pm EDT and at that time, the information will be considered final.
- **Submission Criteria for Poster Applications
- All poster submissions must include the following in order to be considered:
- Poster Title: This is the title that will be published in the program
- Abstract: Limit 3000 characters
- Presenter: Name and full contact information of the poster presenter is required. You will have the opportunity to first search BIO's database. If your name is in the database, all contact fields will be filled automatically. If you are not in the database, you will be asked to create a new profile.
- When you have completed your entry, click SAVE ALL to save your submission to the database. If you are unable to complete the application, you can save your work and return to complete the application later. You may also return and make changes to any field at any point during the call for papers/panels/posters. (Once the call for papers/panels/posters closes, no further changes will be permitted.)
