Letters of Invitation
Participants from countries requiring a visa for entry into the United States should begin their visa application process as soon as possible and NO LATER THAN FEBRUARY 1, 2008. The U.S. State Department requires a minimum of 90 days to process visa applications for scientific meetings.
To apply for a visitor visa, you must:
- Call and make an appointment with your nearest U.S. consulate or embassy.
- Contact BIO at worldcongress@bio.org to request a letter of invitation. Please include your name, title, affiliation and full contact information including address, phone, fax and email. If available, please attach CV to your formal request.
- Follow the steps outlined by the U.S. State Department in their guide.
