Czech Republic Article 19 - The Act on Genetically Modified Organisms has been proposed, taking into account existing European and international regulations, EC directives, OECD regulations, the Convention on Biological Diversity, and the Cartagena Protocol.The proposal of the Act was approved by the Government of the Czech Republic in December 1999, and entered the Parliament in January 2000.The entry into force of the Act is foreseen on January 1, 2001.
