Malawi Article 15 - Malawi has put in place a regulatory framework for access to genetic resources.However, the program lacks funding for implementation.
Article 16 -The country has developed a working document and partnership with ARIPO/WIPO to review the Patent Act and to conduct an awareness meeting on intellectual property rights.
Article 19 -With limited resources, the government has been able to come up with procedures and guidelines on access to genetic resources and draft contractual agreements addressing the issue of benefit sharing.
