The Netherlands Article 15 - A policy paper on genetic resources is currently under development.
Article 16 - No legislation.
Article 19 - The Dutch Government has recently published the Integral Policy Document on Biotechnology (INB, December 2000). The document reviews the latest developments in the area of biotechnology, in particular genetic modifications, and it formulates policy premises and intentions.
The Netherlands will likely use a policy-based approach to implementing CBD provisions.

Turkey Article 15 - Turkish Decree-Law 551 on patenting sets the requirements for patenting in line with the European Patent Convention and WTO agreements.Patentable material must be new, convenient for industrial applications, or be an invention; therefore traditional knowledge can not be patented in this context. Geographical indications, designs, or copyrights under TRIPs may partially cover traditional knowledge.
In Turkey there is no legislative arrangement directly aiming to protect intellectual property rights of owners of traditional knowledge.
