International Patent Harmonization
BIO is a strong advocate of the patent harmonization efforts under way through the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). Enhanced international cooperation in patent procurement and enforcement globally will be of great benefit to the biotechnology industry and thus to the public at large. BIO will work closely with WIPO and World Trade Organization (WTO) to address these issues.
