BIO Announces 2007 BIO International Convention Official Pre Show Planner Publishing Partnership

WASHINGTON, D.C. (January 19, 2007) - The Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) announced today BioExecutive and BioProcess Magazine as the official publisher of the Pre Show Planner for BIO's 2007 International Convention, to be held May 6-9, 2007 at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center, Boston, Mass. The Pre Show Planner provides a helpful roadmap to potential attendees by highlighting key events, trends and educational sessions.

"We are pleased to enter into this partnership with these two leading publications stated Robbi Lycett, vice president, Conventions & Conferences, BIO. "We conducted extensive attendee research after our successful BIO 2006 event in Chicago and found attendees desired more insights into the program content, trends and topics to be covered during the meeting. The addition of a Pre Show Planner, written with the editorial insights of BioExecutive and BioProcess editors, will assist our attendees in planning their show schedule and serve as a great primer for key industry trends."

The Pre Show Planner will be mailed in March to BioExecutive and BioProcess subscribers and prospective attendees identified by the 2007 BIO International Convention. The editorial content will feature five insightful chapters on Drug Discovery & Development, Upstream/Production Technologies, Downstream Procesing, Clinical Trials/Clinical Research and Manufacturing.

"We hope to provide insights into the event education sessions by highlighting the potential and the processes that are driving biotechnology breakthroughs that are turning concepts into reality, science into medicine." commented BioExecutivePublisher, Brian Caine.
