BIO International Convention Advance Online Media Registration to Close April 23, 2010

WASHINGTON, D.C. (Monday, April 19, 2010) - Media registration for the 2010 BIO International Convention, the global event for biotechnology, will close on April 23, 2010. Hosted by the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO), the event will take place May 3-6, 2010, in Chicago, Ill. at McCormick Place.

“This year’s Convention is shaping up to be a phenomenal event with timely sessions that highlight key trends and insights into emerging technologies,” said BIO President and CEO Jim Greenwood. “We look forward to bringing the global industry together to address how to tackle some of the world’s biggest challenges — from  life threatening diseases to climate change to global hunger.” 

At Convention, members of the news media will have access to:

 

·         Industry leaders from 48 states and 60 countries.

·         Five Super Sessions and more than 125 breakout sessions in 17 tracks

·         More than 150 emerging company presentations

·         1,700 exhibiting companies/organizations covering an estimated 180,000 net sq. ft.

·         Product Focus Zones within the BIO Exhibition, including BioProcess, Business Services, Clinical Trials, Contracts, Discovery and the new BIOPark

Advance media registration for the 2010 BIO International Convention will only be available online through April 23, 2010.

To register in advance, please visit http://convention.bio.org/media. After this date registration will only be available on site at McCormick Place.

 

The annual BIO International Convention helps to support the association’s programs and initiatives. BIO works throughout the year to create a policy environment that enables the industry to continue to fulfill its vision of bettering the world through biotechnology innovation. The 2011 BIO International Convention will be held in Washington, DC.
