Bioscience Leaders and Investors to Conduct Workshops at BIO Mid-America VentureForum 2006

WASHINGTON, D.C. (August 10, 2006) -- The Biotechnology Industry Organization’s (BIO) Mid-America VentureForum 2006, scheduled for September 25-27 at the Intercontinental Hotel in Cleveland, OH, will feature a series of workshops to address current challenges facing emerging biotechnology company executives and opportunities for investors.   

The BIO Mid-America VentureForum is the Midwest’s largest annual gathering of biotechnology and medical device companies, venture capitalists, angel investors, and investment bankers from across the U.S. and Canada.  

Workshops will feature panel discussions among leaders in the financial and biotech industries on issues such as alternative capital sources, investing in innovation, state growth initiatives, globalization, regulatory review and bioclusters.  Workshops include:
