WASHINGTON, D.C. (May 23, 2001) – Advance media registration for BIO 2001, recommended for all reporters and editors and required for freelance journalists, ends June 1. Registration is complimentary.

To register for the meeting, click on the “BIO 2001 Meeting” icon on the BIO Web site, www.bio.org. Click on “Register” at the top of the page, then on “Media Registration Only.” Choose one of two options:

1. Online Registration – Enter the requested information and send.

2. Fax or Mail Registration – Print and fill out the “.pdf” form. Fax it to BIO at (202) 887-9679 or mail to: BIO Media Registration, 1625 K Street, NW, Suite 1100, Washington, DC 20006, ATTN: CARRIE HOUSMAN.

Freelance journalists must register in advance and must mail a letter from the editor of the news organization that assigned them to cover BIO 2001. This letter should be on the stationery of that news organization. Please send the letter to: BIO Media Registration, 1625 K Street, NW, Suite 1100, Washington, DC 20006, ATTN: CARRIE HOUSMAN.

Without proper registration or approved credentials, access to BIO 2001 will be denied. Please contact Carrie Housman at (202) 962-9200 with any questions.
