Registration for the 2014 BIO Livestock Biotech Summit Now Open

Sioux Falls Convention Center Welcomes Back BIO

Washington, D.C. (April 14, 2014) – Registration for this year’s Livestock Biotech Summit is officially open to attendees and credentialed media, the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) announced today.  The BIO Livestock Biotech Summit will be September 16-18, 2014, at the Sioux Falls Convention Center in Sioux Falls, SD.  The Summit recurrently attracts key industry stakeholders including CEOs and executives, industry and academic scientists in both biomedical and agricultural research, government regulators, technology transfer office personnel and investors.     

“The 2014 BIO Livestock Biotech Summit has been restructured to best spur discussion around the rapidly evolving issues facing the animal biotechnology industry,” said David Edwards, Director of Animal Biotechnology at BIO. “We are excited to open registration for this year’s Summit and are looking forward to returning to Sioux Falls, a foundation point in livestock agricultural research.”

South Dakota flourishes in the major bioscience subsectors of agricultural feedstock and chemicals, medical devices and equipment, and bio-science related distribution.  The state is also ranked number one on the Agribusiness Friendliness Index developed by researchers at Colorado State University.

All Livestock Biotech Summit sessions are open to credentialed media. Complimentary media registration is available to editors and reporters with valid press credentials working full time for print, broadcast or web publications.  Registration for reporters is now open.
