Registration Now Available for BIO VentureForum East 2007

WASHINGTON, D.C. (April 18, 2007) -- The Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) will join BIOTECanada and 14 state biotech associations to present the BIO VentureForum East 2007 investor conference at the Marriott Chateau Champlain, Montreal, Quebec, Canada June 18-20, 2007. 

The event will feature more than 80 presenting biotech companies from both the U.S. and Canada, a series of workshops on biotech trends and strategies, business development opportunities, and networking receptions.  Alnylam’s president and CEO John Maraganore, Ph.D. will join other renowned plenary speakers as the lunch keynote speaker on Tuesday, June 19. 

“We look forward to working with BIOTECanada to bring venture capitalists, top-tier private companies, and other interested parties from both the U.S. and Canada to Montreal for one of the most exciting venture conferences of the year,” said BIO’s Executive Vice President for Emerging Companies and Business Development, Alan Eisenberg.   “This year, along with our state association partners and BIOTECanada, we look to capitalize on the success from past venture conferences and to create new opportunities for financing top notch private companies.”
