BIO Ventures for Global Health (BVGH) [2] and the Biotechnology Industry Organization [3] (BIO) have collaborated on a new report that builds upon the findings in BVGH’s previous analysis, Developing New Drugs and Vaccines for Neglected Diseases of the Poor: The Product Developer Landscape [4], to delve deeper into understanding the biotechnology sector’s contributions to neglected disease product development across drugs, vaccines, and diagnostics.
In addition to novel data and analysis, the new report, Biotechnology: Bringing Innovation to Neglected Disease R&D, describes the overall biotechnology business model and identifies some of the challenges facing biotech engagement in global health product development.
