The bill would also require the Agriculture Department to set national standards for voluntarily labeling of food and foods containing bioengineered (bill defines the term bioengineered) ingredients.
Further, it requires USDA and the Health and Human Services Department to survey consumer knowledge about Ag Biotech to determine whether consumers have access to information about genetically engineered products; the results of the study would be due in four years.

Final Step: When you’re ready to submit your letter, click “Send Message.” Once your letter has been submitted, you will be directed to a confirmation page, and will have the opportunity to share the letter with others.
