The Children's Tumor Foundation (CTF) is a 501(C)(3), not-for-profit organization HQ in New York and employees across many states. The Foundation is committed to improving the health and well-being of more than 2,500,000 patients living with neurofibromatosis (NF) worldwide, a term for three distinct disorders: NF1, NF2 and schwannomatosis. NF is a rare genetic disorder that causes tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body and can lead to blindness, bone deformities, cancer, deafness, disfigurement, learning disabilities and excruciating and disabling pain.
CTF invests in research and enables the translation of discoveries into effective and safe treatments for NF patients using an enabling platform. CTF also connects all the stakeholders to accelerate the path to better treatments.
