Dr. Krishna Prasad is a recognized industry leader in vaccine design, development and manufacturing. Dr. Prasad functioned as the director of vaccines R&D at Pfizer. He has been named as an inventor or co-inventor in more than 150 issued patents worldwide, which played a significant role towards the development and protection of Pfizer’s diverse intellectual property portfolio related to vaccine technology. His responsibilities included leading and directing large teams tasked with vaccine candidate identification, production, CMC and testing of clinical trial materials. During his tenure of 20 years at Wyeth/Pfizer, he successfully led many innovative and complex multi-component vaccine candidates thru all phases of pre-clinical and clinical development and commercial licensure. Notable among the products included the world’s largest selling vaccine Prevnar13, Meningitec and clinical candidates: Respiratory Syncytial Virus, Group B Streptococcus, Staphylococcus aureus, etc.
