William E. Fitzsimmons, Pharm.D., M.S. Joined Fujisawa/Astellas Pharmaceuticals in 1990. Assumed roles of increasing responsibility in R&D, Drug Development Project Management, and Business Development. He retired from Astellas in 2019 as the Executive Vice President, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical and Research Quality Assurance. After retiring from Astellas, he has founded Tutela Pharmaceuticals, Inc a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit pharmaceutical company, is co-founder and COO of Azoth Immune Medicines, Inc. and is Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Physiology and Biophysics, College of Medicine, and Adjunct Professor, Department of Pharmacy Systems, Outcomes and Policy, College of Pharmacy, University of Illinois at Chicago. He serves on the Board of CTI Clinical Trial Services, Inc.
