Hisashi Arase

PROFESSOR (DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF IMMUNOLOGY FRONTIER RESEARCH CENTER), OSAKA UNIVERSITY

After graduating from Hokkaido University School of Medicine in 1990, he entered the doctoral course at Hokkaido University Graduate School of Medicine. Since 1994, he has been an Assistant professor in the field of genetic information at Chiba University School of Medicine. He studied abroad at the University of California San Francisco as a Visiting fellow from 2000 to 2002. And after that he was an Associate professor at the Graduate School of Medicine, Chiba University School of Medicine in 2002. After working Associate professor in the field of immunochemistry at the Research Institute for Microbial Diseases, Osaka University, he has been in his current position (Professor) since 2006. At the same time, he is also a professor at Laboratory of Immunochemistry, WPI Immunology Frontier Research Center (IFReC). Since 2019 he has been a Deputy director of IFReC.
