Rob Long

Rob is a former All-American football player at Syracuse University and has lived the rare disease journey. Rob was diagnosed with a high grade glioma called a grade 3 anaplastic astrocytoma, a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer. His prognosis at the time was not good, and his surgery, and treatment took 14 months A graduate of Syracuse University, Rob received a bachelor's degree from the Whitman School of Management and went on to pursue a Masters in Communications from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and has since received a certificate in Principles of Fundraising from Villanova University. Rob joined Uplifting Athletes full time in August of 2016 as the Director of Rare Disease Engagement. As of November of 2018, Rob now serves as the Executive Director of Uplifting Athletes.
