Sierra Pellechio is the Public Health Program Manager for the Hepatitis B Foundation and the manager of Hepatitis Delta Connect, a global awareness program for hepatitis delta, a coinfection of hepatitis B classified as a rare disease in the U.S. She is also the manager of a CDC funded project to create and disseminate educational outreach materials to address healthcare and hepatitis B screening barriers in African immigrant communities in the U.S. Her public health expertise lies in communicating complicated science and disease information to the public, creative health promotion and community outreach in minority populations. Under her oversight, Hepatitis Delta Connect has educated nearly 20,000 patients, providers and researchers in 100 countries. During her time at the Hepatitis B Foundation she has personally provided support and education to thousands of hepatitis patients globally, facilitated notable research-based webinars, led CDC funded research and participated in community screening initiatives in both Asian American and African immigrant communities. She is also co-chair of the Bucks County, Pennsylvania Immunization Coalition, working to increase the vaccination rates of Bucks County. Sierra is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) and received her B.S. in public health in 2016 from Temple University in Philadelphia. `
