David Stover, BS, PhD

Dr. Stover has over 25 years of experience in both small molecule and biologics drug discovery and development in Oncology and currently serves as Chief Scientific Officer for Qwixel Therapeutics, LLC and is a Director and/or a consultant for several additional Biotech companies.
Most recently, he was the Site Head of Agensys, Inc., a Santa Monica-based Astellas affiliate focused on antibody and antibody drug conjugate development, where he was responsible for ~240 employees in research, clinical manufacturing, and clinical development. Prior to that, he founded and was the head of Oncology Biologics at Novartis from 2003-2009. Earlier in his career, Dr. Stover was Director of Biochemistry and first employee at Kinetix Pharmaceuticals, a small molecule kinase inhibitor company that was acquired by Amgen in 2000; and then was a Vice President of Drug Discovery at MDS Proteomics where he managed the Cambridge and Charlottesville research sites as well as a proteomics department in Toronto from 2000-2003.
Dr. Stover is an accomplished scientist and researcher having co-authored nearly 50 manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals. He earned his Ph.D. in Biochemistry at the University of Washington and holds a B.S. in Zoology from Duke University.
