The Virginia Biosciences Health Research Corporation (VBHRC), known as the Virginia Catalyst, is a 501(c)(3) non-stock corporation, created by the Virginia General Assembly & Virginia's research institutions with an overarching purpose to cultivate collaborations and partnerships among Virginia's research universities, major health systems, and industry. The Virginia Catalyst has successfully developed a collaborative network that spans throughout Virginia and effectively encompasses a widely diverse population of individuals within our health systems. This creates the critical mass of PIs, sites, and potential study participants that is necessary for success in today's clinical trials. Our network includes: University of Virginia, UVA Health, Virginia Tech, Carilion, Virginia Commonwealth University, VCU Health, Eastern Virginia Medical School, George Mason University, Inova Health, Old Dominion University, William & Mary, Sentara Health System.
