The race to develop a safe and efficacious novel coronavirus vaccine and COVID-19 therapeutic is on, and the Department of Defense, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and industry partners are working together to get to the finish line. Vaccine and therapeutics experts intimately involved in these development efforts will discuss how strong partnerships and communication between the U.S. government and the private sector propel effective rapid response to global public health threats like coronavirus. The panel will also examine the path forward for vaccines and therapeutics, particularly as it relates to the current outbreak, as well as lessons learned from the ongoing efforts.
