US Government Investments in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing and Supply Chain for Today’s and Future Pandemics

9:00 AM - 11:00 AM (PDT), Monday, June 13, 2022

The COVID-19 pandemic demonstrated the need for readily available manufacturing surge capacity in times of emergency, and the demand for long-term investment expanding our nation’s industrial base. ASPR/BARDA are working to take these lessons learned and invest in manufacturing and the medical supply chain through programs such as their Industrial Base Expansion (IBx) and proposed Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing Consortium (BioMaC). This two-part panel will first discuss ASPR/BARDA IBx efforts to expand and onshore critical supply chains and second, serve as the next step of creating the BioMaC program after releasing the RFI and holding an Industry Day.
