Partnerships between pharma and biotech hit record levels in 2021 both in terms of deals volume and values. Many of the largest deals saw big pharma secure access to drug discovery platforms – such as gene and cell therapies, RNA technologies, gene editing, and Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning approaches -- that are expected to deliver the next generation of transformative medicines.
