Recent years have seen tremendous progress in the application of RNA/DNA based therapeutics, with successful treatments reaching the market and the potential for widespread applications becoming a realizable objective. In parallel the diversity of application of this modality is rapidly expanding to encompass not just gene silencing but also splice modulation and gene activation, as well as demonstrating potential to target patient-specific sequences that are causative for rare diseases.
