Pierre Theodore

Pierre R. Theodore is a Vice President of Global Public Health at Johnson & Johnson. In this role, he is responsible for driving adoption of medical device and pharmaceutical innovations to advance the standard of care worldwide for underserved patients. Dr. Theodore serves on the adjunct faculty at Stanford University in the department of Cardiac Surgery where he remains in clinical practice.
Dr. Theodore has over two decades of experience in cardiothoracic surgery, surgical education, entrepreneurship and innovation. He focused on minimally invasive surgical approaches in thoracic surgery, interventional pulmonary procedures, and Global Surgery initiatives to expand surgical capacity in low-income countries. Pierre served in the United States Navy Reserve Medical Officer Corps, holding the rank of Commander.
