I have always been interested in working at the intersection of Science, Technology and Business. I’ve spent over 2 decades in the bio-pharma field, initially as a Researcher and subsequently as a Senior Executive leading high-performing teams focused on a variety of areas including drug discovery, development, manufacture and commercialization. While I have a passion for health-care, I took a risk and enjoyed working at NVIDIA building their pharma AI business. Other interesting positions included running the Broad Institute’s Center for the Science of Therapeutics with responsibility for a $63m budget. The Center brought together the Broad Institute's Chemical Biology Program, Therapeutics Platform, and Therapeutics Projects Group, leveraging the strengths of all three groups in a concerted therapeutic discovery effort. Most of what I do is mission-critical, spanning multiple functions (Finance, HR, Project Management, Engineering, IS). My previous role at Broad: ‘Director of Informatics, Data Analysis, HR, Finance & Therapeutics’, demonstrates my considerable range and aptitude for operational success. It’s important for me to be involved in strategy and key decision-making. Prior to Broad I was tapped as an emerging leader with Amgen Information Systems tasked with solving complex & intractable challenges in the clinical, research, manufacturing and commercial units of the business. I spent some of this time working in Europe. I’m an experienced business leader with a history of repeated success in independently planning and driving multiple, complex and highly visible strategic initiatives and leading business operations. I have strong organization, communication, and management skills combined with a proven ability to develop and lead high performing teams.
