Dr. Kurt Rasmussen, PhD

Dr. Rasmussen received his A.B., with Honors and Distinction, from Cornell University. He earned his Ph.D. in Neuroscience and Psychology from Princeton University and was a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Psychiatry at the Yale University School of Medicine. He worked as a Senior Research Scientist in the Neuroscience Division of Eli Lilly & Co., leading efforts to discover novel treatments for psychiatric disorders, such as depression and schizophrenia. Currently, he is the Director, Division of Therapeutics and Medical Consequences at the National Institute of Drug Addiction (NIDA), leading their efforts to promote the development of safe and effective pharmacotherapies, behavioral therapies, and devices to treat addiction.
