BIO Patient and Health Advocacy Summit

The Power of Partnerships

BIO is pleased to announce its fifth annual Patient and Health Advocacy Summit held on November 3-4, 2016 at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, DC. This event brings together patient advocacy organizations, academia, regulators, biotechnology industry, and other stakeholders for two days of robust programming to discuss timely policy issues and share best practices. The Summit also provides invaluable networking opportunities to advance partnership among stakeholders in the healthcare ecosystem. Last year, the Summit convened over 320 attendees from nearly 200 different organizations.

A lot of patients don't realize the effects that public policy has on whether they have access to a treatment, if it's affordable, or if it's even being developed; all of those things are heavily influenced by public policy.
Julia Jenkins Executive Director, EveryLife Foundation for Rare Diseases
