Michele Oshman

Michele Oshman is Vice President for External Relations at the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO). She also serves as the Executive Director for the Council of State Bioscience Associations (CSBA). As the leader of CSBA, a confederation of state-based, non-profit organizations each governed by its own board of directors, she works to advance their mission to promote public understanding of and advocating for public policies that support the responsible development of the bioscience industry. Ms. Oshman joined BIO in January 2020 after a successful 18 years with Eli Lilly and Company, where she led federal advocacy outreach. Ms. Oshman started her career there as a clinical neuroscience researcher and served in multiple clinical development and corporate leadership roles. In 2005, she earned a Six Sigma Black Belt and led multiple transformational efforts across the company before joining the advocacy team in 2007.
