Heidi Ross joined NORD in January 2020 and now serves as the Director of Policy, overseeing both federal and state legislative and advocacy efforts in support of the rare disease community. Heidi has worked in domestic and global health policy for more than 13 years in government and for non-profit organizations. Heidi previously worked as the Director of U.S. Policy & Advocacy, and Africa Programs for Malaria No More. Prior to her time at Malaria No More, Heidi worked on Capitol Hill for nearly 8 years in both the House and the Senate, most recently as a Professional Staff Member for the House Committee on Foreign Affairs and as a Senior Policy Advisor for Rep. Eliot L. Engel, handling his domestic health portfolio. Heidi holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Northern Arizona University and a Master of Public Health with a focus on health policy from the George Washington University.
