Eric Dube, PhD

Dr. Dube is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Retrophin, Inc., a San Diego-based biotechnology company dedicated to identifying, developing and delivering life-changing therapies to people living with rare disease. Under Dr. Dube’s leadership, Retrophin is advancing its late-stage pipeline with the goal of changing the treatment paradigm for people living with rare kidney disorders, and broadening access for diverse patients in the rare community. In acknowledgement of his commitment to patients with unmet needs and his leadership in the industry, Dr. Dube was recently named one of the 100 Most Inspiring People in the life sciences industry by PharmaVoice magazine.

Prior to joining Retrophin, Dr. Dube was President and Head of North America at ViiV Healthcare, where he led the commercialization of pipeline assets and oversaw governance for the company's North America business. Before joining ViiV, Dr. Dube worked for more than 18 years in roles of increasing leadership at GlaxoSmithKline plc.

Dr. Dube graduated from Santa Clara University with a B.S. in Biopsychology and earned an M.A. and Ph.D. in Psychology from Cornell University. Dr. Dube currently serves on the Board of Directors at Retrophin and the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO), as well as on the Board of Trustees for AIDS United.
