Law Firm Member Benefits
Events and Sponsorship
Law firm members receive exclusive opportunities to speak and network at in-house counsel focused events including the BIO IP Counsels Committee Conferences and the BIO IP & Diagnostics Symposium. Only law firm members can sponsor panels and participate in content development for in-house counsel educational programs. Sponsorship includes the benefit of sending more than one representative from a law firm to the event. Registration of law firm attendees is otherwise capped to one per law firm, to ensure an appropriate balance with in-house counsel attendance. Finally, all law firm members receive significantly discounted registration.
BIO gives first preference to member law firms to work with BIO’s amicus committee and file amicus briefs on behalf of BIO. Member law firms are selected based on core competencies and relevant expertise.
BIO member law firms may write one article per year featured in the BIO IP Newsletter which reaches more than 11,000 professionals in the biotech community twice a month.
BIO Business Solutions
BIO’s cost-savings program helps members save money with no additional fees. Last year, the 3,000+ participating life science companies participated in the program. BIO Business Solutions provides a broad offering of goods and services for law firm member companies from industry leading providers such as Business Wire, FedEx, Office Depot and ShareVault, among others.
BIO Jobs makes it easier than ever to find skilled professionals within the biotech industry. BIO Jobs is a featured feed on the bio.org site, which receives 1.5 million page views annually. BIO members always receive a discount when listing their employment opportunities on BIO Jobs. Employers also can advertise job openings in BIO SmartBrief, which reaches more than 43,000 subscribers daily.
Dues for law firm membership are based on the number of full-time employees, including employees of subsidiary companies.
