BIO 2003 Annual Convention Media Registration Now Available Online

WASHINGTON, D.C. (April 14, 2003) - Online media registration is now open for the Biotechnology Industry Organization’s (BIO) 2003 Annual Convention, June 21-25 at the Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.

Registration is complimentary for credentialed news media. To register, please visit www.bio.org. Only reporters and editors working full-time for print or broadcast news organizations may register on-site with valid media credentials.

The event will feature 25 tracks of programming, including sessions on policy, business development, science and regulatory affairs. Plus, the convention will host a two-day HealthFest on the National Mall; forums on bioethics, global health and patient advocacy; a two-day NIH Director's Lecture Series; 345,000 square feet of exhibit space; a series of dazzling receptions at Washington landmarks; and a BIO TV Studio and media center, complete with two press conference rooms.

BIO represents more than 1,000 biotechnology companies, academic institutions, state biotechnology centers and related organizations in all 50 U.S. states and 33 other nations. BIO members are involved in the research and development of health-care, agricultural, industrial and environmental biotechnology products.
