BIO Announces Sessions and Speakers for Pacific Rim Summit on Industrial Biotechnology and Bioenergy</a>

WASHINGTON, D.C. (September 5, 2007) -- Experts in the field of industrial biotechnology and bioenergy from across the globe will participate in the Pacific Rim Summit on Industrial Biotechnology and Bioenergy. Hosted by the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO), the State of Hawaii, and the American Chemical Society, the meeting will take place in Honolulu, Hawaii, November 14-16, 2007.

 

“The Pacific Rim Summit on Industrial Biotechnology and Bioenergy draws business leaders from around the world to discuss important and timely issues that will form the future of the industry,” said Jim Greenwood, president and CEO of BIO. 

 

The program will include sessions on the latest developments in industrial biotechnology, including all forms of bioenergy production, biobased products and chemicals, food ingredients and fragrances, novel applications and nanotechnology, and marine biotechnology and bioprospecting.
