BIO Announces a Special Preconference Workshop: Outlook on Federal Policy Affecting Advanced Biofuels and Renewable Chemicals
BIO President & CEO James Greenwood to moderate panel discussion with biotech companies
Washington, D.C. (April 28, 2014) – Recent passage of the Farm Bill, uncertainty about tax reform and potential changes to the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS), are all issues that could impact future growth of the industrial biotechnology sector. These issues and more will be discussed during BIO’s World Congress on Industrial Biotechnology’s pre-conference Workshop, “U.S. Policy Outlook: From the RFS to Tax Reform to Farm Bill Implementation - What Lies Ahead for Advanced Biofuels and Renewable Chemicals?”. The workshop is designed to assess the threats and opportunities on the U.S. federal policy landscape for 2014. The World Congress will be held May 12-15, 2014, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.
