Tenth Annual BIO CEO & Investor Conference Registration Now Available Online

WASHINGTON, D.C. (November 1, 2007) -- The Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) today announced the opening of general registration for the BIO CEO & Investor Conference 2008.  The annual investor conference for the life sciences industry will take place Feb. 11-13, 2008 at the Waldorf=Astoria Hotel in New York City.

Now in its tenth year, the BIO CEO & Investor Conference 2008 provides a forum for public and private equity investors, research analysts, investment bankers and senior-level industry executives to learn about and discuss investment trends and business development opportunities in the biotechnology industry.

“The quality of sessions and programs make BIO’s CEO & Investor Conference a ‘can’t miss’ event for both the financial and life sciences industries,”  said Jim Greenwood, president and CEO of BIO.  “Our Conference provides a ‘one-stop shop’ for top financial and biotechnology executives to identify partnerships, network and learn about existing and emerging opportunities in all aspects of biotechnology.”

This year’s conference will feature presentations from more than 200 hundred public market companies, one-on-one meetings with top management professionals, 10 therapeutic workshops featuring leading experts on specific therapeutic and technology topics, six roundtable sessions, and plenary sessions on timely business issues and industry trends, as well as numerous networking opportunities.

“The biotech industry continues to innovate and grow, developing new technologies that will better the world,” stated Greenwood.  “The CEO & Investor Conference will help investors identify the latest trends and provide biotech innovators an opportunity to secure the funding necessary to bring their technologies to market.”
