
Monday’s Welcome Reception Location Just Announced!
Everybody’s favorite, the welcome reception, is Monday evening at the Exploratorium at Pier 15. Sponsored by Genentech, this party should not be missed. The Exploratorium has hundreds of exhibits and boasts six separate galleries, each focusing on a different area of exploration.

This year partnering begins on Monday afternoon! The number of partnering meetings at BIO has grown 395% in the last decade. In response to the growing demand, an extra half day was added. Visit convention.bio.org/partner to find resources and tutorials. There will be more than 29,000 meetings scheduled during the convention with BIO’s One-on-One partnering system—it’s the best way to identify business opportunities and meet potential partners from all over the world.

Learn the Ropes From the Ones Who Know
Perhaps the best way to get off to a good start and build your confidence navigating the myriad programs, exhibit spaces, forums and special events is to join the “Attendee Orientation”, also on Monday. BIO staff will discuss what’s new in 2016, offer tips on how best to maximize your schedule and share insight on navigating the exhibition floor and venue as a whole. Attendees will also understand how to leverage the myBIO app and One-on-One Partnering resources to effectively network during the event.
