Rx Response Changes Name to Healthcare Ready

August 12, 2015
Yesterday, Rx Response announced that its name will be changing to Healthcare Ready. For nearly nine years, Rx Response has helped protect patients’ continued access to medicines in more than 55 different disasters.

The rationale for the name change is to better reflect its shifting mission of providing assistance in areas of healthcare outside of medicines and pharmacy. The group has gained significant experience and expertise in 'coordinating the healthcare system and the public sector during disasters, and more importantly, to build resiliency into our daily activities so we’re all stronger and communities are better protected.'

Moving forward, Healthcare Ready plans to take on more policy projects at the local, state and federal levels in addition to coordinating during disasters and helping keep the healthcare infrastructure running smoothly.

Healthcare Ready will continue to provide the Rx Open map detailing open pharmacies in disaster affected areas.
