BIO 2004 Scheduled for June 6-9 in San Francisco

WASHINGTON, D.C. (August 8, 2003) — Please mark your calendars for BIO 2004, the Biotechnology Industry Organization's (BIO's) annual convention to be held June 6-9, 2004, in San Francisco. Registration for the media will, of course, be complimentary, however you may want to keep these dates in mind as your news organization is preparing budgets for the coming year's travel allocations.

The BIO annual convention is the largest gathering of biotechnology leaders in the world, attracting more than 15,000 attendees and featuring more than 190 sessions, 1,000 speakers, and 1,200 exhibitors. BIO 2004 promises to be one of the most memorable with more than 25 programming tracks on such topics as business development, drug development, manufacturing and regulatory issues — all in the heart of beautiful downtown San Francisco.

For more information on BIO 2004 and BIO's past annual conferences, please see www.bio.org.
