We are currently planning a virtual format that will enable us to deliver five days of BIO One-on-One Partnering with an expanded 24-hour global time zone approach for business development networking along with expert-level educational content focused on the most pressing industry topics including COVID-19, Infectious Diseases/Vaccines, Oncology, Business Development, Digital Health, and more. There will be a variety of panels across four days, mixing live and on-demand sessions, as well as company presentations, with additional scheduling details that BIO will post in the next few weeks.

Yes, consider if your original topic idea will still be relevant to a virtual session in June. The BIO Programs team will be contacting those session organizers and speakers with accepted sessions as BIO continues to explore options for a virtual education event and will be in contact with those session organizers and speakers with more details as soon as they are available.
BIO’s Previous Presentation/Publication and Confidentiality Policies will remain in effect since abstracts will still be presented. The convention itself will be open to qualified media with “on the record” educational panel sessions, however.
All available sessions and educational events will be available to all registrants. You will not need to sign up specifically for a session in order to attend. For a live-streamed event, RSVPs may be requested.
We are planning a mix of live and pre-recorded content as well as set of tools for interacting with speakers for Q&A, even for pre-recorded content. Sessions will remain available on demand for a period of at least 30 days after the start of the event.
Yes, BIO is reviewing the best functionality to enable such Q&A interactions.
As a BIO Exhibitor, your BIO Account Manager will connect with you the week of April 13 to discuss the options for transitioning your presence/registrations to BIO Digital. Refund requests will be honored.
All individual hotel reservations booked through BIO’s official housing provider, onPeak will be cancelled automatically without penalty. However, registrants who booked housing through other sources or directly with hotels are responsible for cancelling their own reservations. Pre-paid group/exhibitor housing blocks are subject to different cancellation policies. onPeak’s housing team will be in touch regarding your specific situation.
Convention attendees are responsible for cancelling their airline tickets. Each airline has its own policies regarding refunds and vouchers for future travel. You will need to work with the carrier directly to determine if you qualify.

BIO is looking forward to reconvening the BIO International Convention, in-person, June 14-17, 2021 in Boston, MA. We will head back to San Diego the following year, June 13-16, 2022.

On Monday & Tuesday, June 8-9, expect to receive your access within 75 minutes.
On Wednesday & Thursday, June 10-11, expect access within 2 hours. Friday, June 12, expect access within 3 hours or less.
After June 12, if you are requesting post-event admission to the recordings, please allow for one full business day to receive your email to open your BIO Digital Education account.
As of April 2, 2020, those current registrants with a BIO Business Forum pass will be refunded down to the proper new BIO Digital rate of $950 USD per person for BIO members or $1,200 USD for nonmember organizations. There is no longer a separate academic/government/investor rate. If your organization is not a direct member of BIO, the nonmember rate will apply.
Registrations paid for with a credit card will be refunded by April 17, 2020 down to the new rate. If you paid with a check or a wire transfer, BIO would require some additional information. You will be emailed a link to complete a simple data form so that the wire and check processing information can be processed efficiently. Allow for 30 days from receipt of that data for your refund to be processed.
If you were registered for a Convention Access pass, you will be invited to join BIO Digital and would receive the same benefits at the rates outlined above. Refunds for the difference, if applicable, will be processed as above.
If you were registered for an Exhibition Pass, you will be invited to join BIO Digital and would receive the same benefits at the rates outlined above. You would be responsible for paying the difference in cost to join BIO Digital.
If you paid a company presentation fee, you will be contacted separately regarding your digital company presentation options and presentation fee discount.
Should your plans have changed, please let us know by April 20 and BIO will issue you a full refund. Email email@example.com and please allow up to 30 days for the refund to be processed.
No, coupon codes are only provided to sponsoring organizations and their guests and attendees. Most attendees will not have a coupon code.
For BIO Digital, check payment cannot be accepted.
For BIO Digital, wire payment cannot be accepted.
You should contact the BIO International Convention team at firstname.lastname@example.org and after verification from the BIO Membership department, the proper adjustment will be made to your record and a refund will be issued. However, if you paid by check or wire transfer, a W-9 (W-8BEN for International guests) will be required in order to process the refund.
All confirmations are HTML (Web) pages at the conclusion of your registration and are printable. Additionally, an email confirmation is sent immediately following the completion of online registration. If you have not received a confirmation, please check your spam or junk mail folder.
For any registrations completed prior to April 3, 2020, if you do not wish to be part of BIO Digital, please let us know at email@example.com by April 20, 2020 and you will receive a full refund.
Those with Company Presentations who wish to stay as part of the Virtual Company Presentation Program will have the fees processed to the new lower rate and will be automatically refunded the difference. For those not wishing to participate, you will receive a full refund by April 20, 2020.
All additional sessions purchased (tours, reception tickets, executive trainings, etc.) will be fully refunded by April 20, 2020. You do not need to make a special request.
For any registration, completed on or after April 3, 2020, you may cancel up to Wednesday, May 27, 2020. There will be a $200 processing fee for each cancellation. Due to the digital nature of the program, after May 27, 2020, we will not refund any cancellations.
Any substitutions need to be requested to firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday, May 27, 2020. Due to the digital nature of the program, after May 27, 2020, we will not accept any substitutions.
Media registration is complimentary for applicants with valid press credentials. BIO will review submissions in the order they are received and send notification within 48 hours. Instructions for receiving a complimentary media registration will be sent to all approved media. Please note, marketing executives, sales representatives, public relations executives, analysts, consultants, authors and researchers may not register as media.
Virtual Partnering is the BIO One-on-One Partnering system with enhanced features that allow you to arrange partnering meetings virtually. With Virtual Partnering, you can self-schedule meetings during 5 full days of partnering from June 8-12, 2020, view your partnering calendar in your own time zone, and input the meeting location of your choice, with the flexibility to choose whatever virtual meeting option you prefer.
Attendees can still search for partners and request meetings using BIO One-on-One Partnering. Instead of those meetings occurring in person in San Diego, attendees can self-schedule meetings in their meeting location of choice, with the flexibility to choose whatever virtual meeting option they prefer.
Access to BIO One-on-One Partnering is included with all registrations for BIO Digital. The BIO One-on-One Partnering™ system will open in late April. After the system opens, you can expect to receive your partnering login information within 1-2 business days of your completed registration. Be sure to add email@example.com to your safe senders list to receive your login credentials.

The BIO One-On-One Partnering™ system works on a company to company basis. Delegates’ accounts will be placed into a company profile with their colleagues as they register for the conference. After filling out their profiles and their calendar availability, delegates send meeting requests to other companies of interest, and accept incoming meeting requests as appropriate.
Once a meeting request is accepted, either company can schedule the meeting via their Message Center – just click the “Schedule” button on the meeting request. You can input any virtual meeting location you prefer, such as a conference call line, video platform, or another method. Be sure to include any additional dial-in numbers or access codes in the Location Description field.
Accepted meeting requests with no mutual availability will show a red “No mutual availability” indicator.

The partnering system does not provide a teleconference of web-conferencing service. Virtual Partnering at BIO Digital provides you the flexibility to use the meeting solution of your choice—whether a video or audio conferencing system, teleconference dial-in number, or any other preferred method—and enter those location details directly in the partnering system.
Each company profile is allowed 150 outstanding outgoing meeting requests.
Please allow 1 to 2 US business days following your completed registration to receive access to Virtual Partnering for BIO Digital. You can expect a confirmation email from the BIO Partnering Team with your login information at that time, so please add firstname.lastname@example.org to your safe senders list.
If you have registered between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm EDT (USA East Coast Time) between June 4 and June 7, 2020, or if you have registered between 7:00 am and 10:00 pm EST (USA) between June 8 and June 12, you can expect to receive a confirmation email from the BIO Partnering Team with your login information within 75 minutes or less after completing your registration. Outside of those hours and dates, you may not receive your access until early the next business morning EDT.
As your login credentials will come from email@example.com, please add this address to your safe senders list.
For security purposes, a delegate's email address must correlate to his or her identity and registered company in order to access the system. To further ensure security, the following Internet browsers are supported: Google Chrome (v. 42.0 and above), Internet Explorer (v. 11.0 and above), Mozilla Firefox (v. 37.0 and above) and Safari for Mac (v. 8.0 and above).

Giving a company presentation is a great way to reach a global audience, increase your visibility in the biotech industry and get more BIO One-on-One Partnering meetings with investors and executives. Presenting companies tend to receive more meeting requests and scheduling more meetings!
Company presentations will be available in Microsoft PowerPoint or PDF format, based on current plans, with addition presenter interaction opportunities to be announced. Links to company presentations will be available in BIO One-on-One Partnering.
Yes, the fee to add a company presentation to your registration is $225 for BIO Members and $300 for non-members. BIO Members who register for BIO Digital and apply to present by May 1st will be eligible for their $225 presentation fee to be waived.
